DAY 3: Final Day of Tour
6 AM:
There was an early wake-up call for everyone in the house, as we were due at the spa by 8:30 a.m.
8:30 AM:
Although we woke up a bit groggy, we were all wide awake by the time we arrived at Awaken Wellness & Beauty. Now situated in Atelier Suites, Awaken Wellness & Beauty offers spray tans, laser hair removal, and spa services. Each of the girls took turns choosing a service and being pampered in the serene environment. By the time we left, we had glowing skin and we were ready to conquer the day!
12 PM:
Continuing to live our best lives, we stopped at Locals Only for brunch. It's fairly standard for Locals Only to have a wait list during their brunch hours, so we were happy to have had a table reserved for us on the top floor. Clean, modern, and bright, Locals Only is one of the top brunch spots in Rochester. Their specialty coffees are to die for and their food portions are giant. If you visit, make sure to take a selfie in their Insta-worthy bathroom (there are two - make sure to get the large one).
1:30 PM
Everyone knows the best way to end a meal is with dessert. We arrived at Laughing Gull Chocolates by 1:30 pm, ready to dive head first into some tasty morsels. We started by getting our first-ever glimpse of an actual cocoa pod (a sight to remember!), followed by a chocolate tasting that left everyone salivating. Before leaving, we were given melted chocolate and an assortment of toppings to design some chocolate creations to take home!
4 PM
Now on a sugar high, we headed over to Scents by Design to create our very own custom fragrances. Since it was Sunday, we also indulged in 2-for-1 mimosas. Scents by Design has over 100 scents to mix and match into your own, one-of-a-kind, candle, oil, or body product. Chances are you'll step through the door and be overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the options. Not to worry - their trained Scent Stylists will help guide you every step of the way.
Can you think of something better to do on a Sunday than drink mimosas and make candles? Go on... we'll wait.
6:30 PM
Being around all the food-scented candles made us hungry again, so it was time to pop into The Old Toad for some delicious British fare. Established in 1990, The Old Toad boasts an award-winning fish fry and will give you a whole new appreciation for mushy peas. Their wide range of beer is admirable and their staff is always ready with a smile and welcoming "hello."
After an action-packed weekend of running all over town, it was time for us all to part ways. Our phones were packed with photos and raw footage that needed to be edited and posted on our social media pages.
Where will the next tour be? Only time will tell. But, in the meantime, if you're a brand, looking to expand your reach, check out our influencers and send us a message! We love helping small businesses grow into empires. Let's make some magic!
